A Consultation with Jeanette
Initial Consultation (1 hour)
In the initial consultation, Jeanette will formulate a picture of your health by taking a comprehensive case history, covering not only your present complaint, but also your wider medical history, current medication, diet and lifestyle. This detailed insight will allow Jeanette to assess the underlying causes of your condition. In conjunction with clinical experience, where relevant Jeanette may also employ functional laboratory tests to assist in understanding the underlying cause of a patient’s symptoms.
At the end of the consultation, Jeanette will discuss and devise an individualized treatment plan in co-operation with the you, and prescribe as necessary. A prescription may be a tincture or a tea. Capsules and tablets are sometimes used. For external use, creams, lotions or ointments may be prescribed. No two patients are alike, so no prescriptions are pre-prepared. All prescriptions are prepared specifically for each individual following the consultation.
Follow-up Consultation (30-45 minutes)
Two weeks after the initial consultation, Jeanette will reschedule to meet with you to assess your progress and to make any alterations to your prescription. Depending on the nature of your condition, a further three or four short consultations may be necessary to continually monitor your progress. If the condition warrants it, a three month and six month check-up may also be arranged.
